My first wedding project was in 2020 and I have been a part of 100s of love stories since. I believe it is a great honor to be invited into my couple’s lives to document their love, families, and special moments.

Hi, I’m Madelyn Bauerly! Lots of people call me Maddie, and my loved ones call me Mads. I’ve always loved art and took every single art class my high school offered. I remember wanting to evoke certain memories & feelings with the art I created, I wanted the viewer to feel a certain way or understand me better through what I made. When I picked up a camera, I realized how special it was to be able to set up scenes and capture subjects in a nostalgic way. Looking back on images was powerful, you could remember so vividly that exact moment and what it felt like, as if you were being teleported back in time. And that is how I fell in love with photography as a medium.
An Experience Rooted in Connection
Now, I get the greatest honor of capturing people’s milestones so they can look back and remember exactly what it was like. I believe that most of the experience with your photographer isn’t about the images, its about the connection and relationship you have with them. Making my clients feel comfortable, happy, and good about themselves is always my first priority. My goal is to capture you in a natural state, where you’re so used to me being with you that it comes naturally to let go of the fact that there is a camera present. My style is equal parts documentary and cinematic. I direct you when I see fit, but I usually prefer to build off of what is already happening.
