I’ve always loved art and took every single art class my high school offered. I remember wanting to evoke certain memories & feelings with the art I created, I wanted the viewer to feel a certain way or understand me better through what I made. When I picked up a camera, I realized how special it was to be able to set up scenes and capture subjects in a nostalgic way. Looking back on images was powerful, you could remember so vividly that exact moment and what it felt like, as if you were being teleported back in time. And that is how I fell in love with photography as a medium.
The heart & soul behind my work
I am extremely family oriented, as are most of my clients. Capturing the couple on their wedding day is crucial, but that’s not my only goal. I want to celebrate everyone coming together to celebrate the two of you. I know how hard relationships can be, and your wedding day should feel like the warmest, fuziest hug of everyone in your life being there! Grandparents’ hugs, dad walking you down the aisle, the mother son dance, and even celebrating the newly married couple and how far you’ve come is my biggest goal and greatest honor. I, myself, have been with my high school sweetheart since we were 17. Now, I am engaged! And planning my own wedding alongside my clients has been a beautiful experience and has taught me so much about the vendor I want to be. I understand how much effort you put into planning your day, and how much you give to your relationship. And with that, I am pretty traditional and take my art seriously. In a world full of AI and computers, I want you to know that I handle each and every photo in your gallery with my own eyes and hands. I put my heart and soul into every gallery.
Because the moments that matter most are the ones shared with the people who feel like home.
I live in Duluth with my fiance and our german shepherd named Olive (she’s all black except between her toes hehe). I moved up north after graduating from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities with a degree in Architecture. So I love home improvements, decor, and all things design related. I love a good craft cocktail, country music, traveling, and my family. I’ve been asking for a horse since I could talk, I can’t remember a time I didn’t want to be a cowgirl. I’m pretty type A and extroverted. Keeping my house clean, cooking meals, editing, training my dog, all while talking to my bestie or mom on the phone. I feel like I’m a chaotic ball of creative ideas and ambition, always wanting to improve and implement new ideas or try something out.
Because the moments that matter most are the ones shared with the people who feel like home.
